Devices without a license

Every device on which iCL Filler is used occupies a license of your iCL Filler product. Once all licenses are in use, the Opti-Q licensing system refuses any further device: iCL Filler cannot be used on it. iCL Portal shows you these devices, so that you can act on them.

1. Finding devices without a license​

Navigate to Settings > License Usage. If at least one device gets no license, a notice above the list tells you how many devices of which product are affected:

In the list itself, these devices

  • are highlighted and listed first (unless you sort the list by another column),
  • show the status No license,
  • show Last attempt ... instead of the date they were last used: the time the device last asked iCL Portal for its license (updated at most every 5 minutes).

Click Show only these devices in the notice to list only the devices without a license, and Show all devices to list all devices again.

iCL Portal cannot tell why the licensing system refused a device; usually all licenses are in use. The licensing system is checked once a day. To check it right away, click Update license usage statistics (the button next to the refresh button).

2. Getting a license for the device​

The notice offers two ways:

  • Buy licenses: write to office@opti-q.com to order more licenses.
  • Request a reset: write to support@opti-q.com to have license usages reset, e.g. those of devices that are no longer in use.

iCL Portal does not offer to free a license yourself: a license is bound to its device for a while (usually 14 days) and cannot be transferred to another device during that time. Only Opti-Q can reset license usages.

3. When the notice disappears​

A device is no longer listed as No license

  • as soon as the licensing system issued a license to it, e.g. after you bought more licenses or a license usage was reset, and the license usage statistics were updated,
  • or when the device has not asked for a license for a day, e.g. because iCL Filler was uninstalled. It is then removed from the list the next time the license usage statistics are updated.
